Ingredients:
1 cup (250 g) IMSA flour premix for arepas.
¾ cup milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
How to prepare:
Combine ingredients in a large bowl. First, add the egg and whisk. Then slowly add the milk to this mixture and finally add the vegetable oil.
Whisk the mixture with all the ingredients until smooth, without lumps. It does not need to stand.
To cook, use a frying pan with a thin coating of vegetable oil and add the desired portions of the previously prepared mixture. Turn the arepa only once when the edge is cooked and ready to serve immediately.
If you want the arepa to be thinner, add more milk or if you prefer it thicker, reduce the amount of milk.
To serve you can add honey, fruit, whipped cream or icing sugar to the arepa.
